Tips when working with your child

Get Face to Face

Get Interactions Going

Get Face to Face

The first step toward letting your child lead is getting face to face. This allows for:

  • you and your child to connect more easily.
  • both of you to hear and see each other’s message better

Avoid "it"

Get Interactions Going

Get Face to Face

Take “it” away. Labels are very important for vocabulary building.  Instead of, "I love it". Try, "I love your picture." Every label is another word, another bit of understanding and another boost to your child’s brain.

Get Interactions Going

Try to get interactions going by copying what your child does. Wait for your child  look at you and say something about what you are doing.
